I have to say this was the hardest talk I’ve done. Normally as a speaker & marketer I like to target my talks to resonate with my audience. I feel it’s always important to make sure that everyone listening gets value from their time invested. In preparing for this talk and thinking about the audience it was a massive cross section of people that included new affiliates, experienced affiliates, single affiliate and affiliate shops. Then in addition to that there was corporate people as well as start ups… and on and on. 

With all that said I wound up just talking

I’m the Opening Keynote for Affiliate Summit West 2018

Can you believe it? Shawn Collins and Missy Ward have asked me to keynote Affiliate Summit West (ASW) 2018 in Las Vegas. What an honor I really appreciate the opportunity they’ve given me.

ASW was the first affiliate industry trade show I ever attended and totally changed my frame of reference of what’s possible in the online advertising and marketing world.

How to hire your first employees and what to expect…

Most of us entrepreneurs start in the affiliate world as “lone wolfs”. That is us doing all tasks in order to make the whole thing go.

Well at some point 1 of 3 things typically happens.

1. We get tired and don’t want to keep doing the same thing over and over
2. We see opportunity that we know we can’t get to on our own.
3. We want a lifestyle business that continues to run without us having to do everything every day.

I’ve been in this business for 12+ years and talk with 1,000’s of people all the time. And believe me everyone gets to this point.

But hiring people is scary…
